Honestly, knowing the interface is absolutely key before you can even start writing music. I've been producing for 5 months, so in no way am I "experienced," but I've seen a tremendous amount of growth from just spending time in my DAW, grinding stuff out, and seeing what sounds good together.Īll tutorials on Youtube that I have watched only explain how to use the Fl Studio interface, rather than showing how to make songs. You must work on one muscle at a time, and once a set of muscles (say arms, with biceps, triceps, and pectorals) become stronger, other things become easier (say, working on abs with your brand spanking new pectorals). Like a muscle, you can't have a strong body from one exercise. You don't have the songwriting ability when you first start out to be able to finish songs. I have been using Fl Studio for about 10-20 hours
